General Terms

  1. While using the vehicle, the driver (Renter) is obligated to treat the rented vehicle with the care of a responsible owner, to maintain it properly, and to immediately inform Rent a Car Start Line (Lessor) in case of any issues.
  2. The minimum rental period is 1 day / 24 hours. A delay of up to 60 minutes is allowed; after that, it is considered a full extra day (24 hours). The daily rental price is higher for 24-hour-only rentals.
  3. The client must have a valid driver’s license held for at least 2 years.
  4. The minimum driver age is 22, and the maximum is 72.
  5. Upon reservation, the client must provide a valid ID (passport or national ID) and a driver’s license.
  6. You can rent a vehicle with any valid driver’s license.
  7. No deposit is required for vehicle rental.
  8. Up to two drivers may operate the rented vehicle; there is no extra charge for the second driver.
  9. Mileage is unlimited within Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries (Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia).
  10. The client must return the same fuel level as received. Upon pickup, the fuel level is noted on a special form, and the client is expected to return the same amount. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the client must pay the difference. An additional refueling fee of 20 KM will also be charged.
  11. The client must return the car in the same condition as received. If the vehicle was clean at pickup, it must be returned clean. A cleaning fee of 20 KM will be charged if the car is returned dirty. If the interior requires deep cleaning, a fee between 20–100 KM will apply.
  12. In case of a vehicle malfunction, please contact us as soon as possible so we can take necessary action to repair or replace the vehicle.
  13. All accidents, including damage in parking lots, must be reported to us and the police. This includes tire damage (e.g., flat tires).
    A police report is required for insurance claims.
  14. The client must safeguard the vehicle documents and return them after the rental ends. The fee for lost documents is 500 KM.
  15. The fee for lost keys is 500 KM.
  16. Rent a Car Start Line does not issue refunds for unused rental days, unused equipment, or similar.
  17. Payment is made in advance, upon vehicle pickup.
  18. Payments can be made in cash or by card (Visa, MasterCard). Card payments are accepted only at our main office.
  19. Vehicle pickup is available at any time by prior arrangement. We are available 24/7.
  20. The client is responsible for all fines incurred during the rental period.

Insurance

All vehicles listed on our site are fully insured with FULL KASKO coverage. The client is not liable for material or any other damages.

Insurance does not cover damages resulting from driver negligence (e.g., driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, reckless driving, etc.).

IN CASE OF ANY DAMAGE OR ACCIDENT, THE CLIENT MUST CONTACT OUR AGENCY AND CALL THE POLICE. WITHOUT A POLICE REPORT, THE CLIENT ACCEPTS FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGE.
